(Portulacaria afra, elephant bush, dwarf jade plant, porkbush)
If Clark Kent were a plant he’d be Spekboomman. Ha. But no really, old Porky is truly the superhero of the plant world. He is incredibly good at removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and is drought-tolerant and fire-resistant. Oh, and he’s proudly South African.
Porks loves bright, indirect light but can handle a bit of sun during the day.
Porky is pretty hardy. Just try not to over water him.
Food and drink:
You can water him once a week or when the top of his soil has dried up. He isn’t a fan of constantly moist soil, though. During the warmer months you can give him diluted fertiliser every 3-4 weeks depending on how much you want him to grow.
